Kindly remember that dress code is important for the following reasons:
- Uniformity in the class helps the teacher identify proper alignment and critique placement more effectively
- Creates a learning environment specific to dance instruction to give the students an authentic and professional experience
- Teaches the student to take pride in their dress code and dance studio
- Ensures safety for the student, instructor, and class
Please follow your student's program and class dress code as described below.

Progressive & AcroGymnastics Program Students
We encourage you wait until attending orientation to order! We are still putting together the dress code for 2021-2022. We are not responsible for incorrect size orders and we will not order items for students. At orientation, your student may also try on sample sizes of leotards and shoes prior to placing your order at the studio.
Please visit our online dance boutique at Uplifting Movement & Fitness Dance Boutique to purchase all of your dress code items. You will see your classes inside the online boutique so you will know what to order.

Summer camp & Class Students
Feel free to wear comfortable, danceable clothing (leggings, shorts, t-shirts, capris etc.). Items like jeans should be avoided because they make dancing and having fun more difficult. No dance shoes are required, but feel free to wear them if you have them. Otherwise socks or clean bare feet are recommended. No UMF apparel required!
